To start off, I will make a reference to the lyrics of the title track from the famous Grammy award winning movie called "the sound of music". Those of us who have been around for some time now, will probably know this film; I personally watched it many times. Take some time to read the lyrics and meditate on them, and you will realize that it is truly God’s Spirit in man that inspires such words. When you read things like this, you realise that it is the spirit of God within man expressing itself with words that the veiled human mind can in no way understand, because it sees only in the light of the natural. When man awakens spiritually speaking, he becomes aware of the fact that God is always speaking, but men hardly hear the voice of the Spirit because they are distracted and burdened with cares of life in the realm of outer darkness; which constitutes this carnally derived world. In reality the only activity that exists is the activity of the Spirit which is the Lord, all that we see in the fleshly realm (the world), is activity of the dead that come to naught in a moment.
Only if man can turn his back on the world and be still to listen, he will discover there is a world hid in God, an open door so to speak, out of the realm of sorrow and endless tribulation, into an endless realm bustling with true riches, life and singing. This was what the Spirit was trying to demonstrate as Moses in the quiet place turned around to behold the burning bush. In turning aside He discovered a new world or dimension of the Spirit (I AM) and was never the same again.
The song, “The Sound of Music”, testifies of the symbolic thousand years fondly called the millennium or the day of the Lord, which represents the sacred awareness or Christ consciousness that those who are ascended on the wings of truth attain. In the symbolic thousand year reign, man awakens from Τhe deep sleep of death into an everlasting and new realm of the Spirit, into the knowledge of love and fellowship in the only name that exists. In this consciousness others names cease to exist for they are mere idols and formations of the human mind; the imaginary accuser and the deceiver is bound up and sealed in the bottomless pit by the word of truth and therefore seizes to be, causing all sense of duality to be abolished, so that Christ the true and only life of God reigns [Revelation 20:1-6].
One may ask, What is this thing called duality? In simple terms we can define duality as the false sense of having a life apart from that of God; when one erroneously believes himself to be an independent entity apart from the life of God, this false belief is the foundation of the world beneath, and the reason why that which is supposed to be a reflection of the garden of God, yields thorns and thistles (tribulation), instead of the blossoming fruits of love, Joy and peace it was intended to produce. As man is absorbed back into the conscious knowledge of the name of the Lord, He becomes aware that all things continually work for His good and that nothing can ever separate Him from the favor and love of God [Romans 8:28, Romans 8:38-39].
The Song from the thousand years testifies of a rich abundant life upon the mountain peaks of Zion, otherwise known as the everlasting Hills [Genesis 49:26]. It is the dwelling place of the eternal Spirit of God, for those who have awoken into the conscious awareness of their marital union with it, for we are eternally one Spirit with the Lord [1Corithians 6:17], even though the veiled adulterous carnal mind of mortal man will say otherwise. Awakening to this sacred union is light; it is new creation where true liberty, joy, delights, riches and pleasures know no bounds, for the earth and all that is in it, both visible and invisible, whether they be in outer space, underneath the seas and the earth, in the deserts or in the vast forests all belong to Lord and do minister to His name.
The veiled comprehension of the human mind, views God as an angry religious creator who must be appeased with sacrifices, one who occupies Himself with searching out human imperfections and punishing man accordingly; a God who does not know how to party and enjoy. These negative perceptions seize to be for those who awaken to this high elevated place where His presence dwells, because man discovers that He is the author of true life and enjoyment. God is enjoyment, purity, innocence and LOVE; a free flowing Spirit that sees no evil and freely avails the totality of Himself to All men.
Those who stand in the light do stand upon mount Zion where God’s kingdom (world) is situated, the realm of the new song which is unheard of in the world [Revelation 14:1-3].
Isaiah 35:10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
If any man seeks the place of life and true inner melodies, the place to be is upon the everlasting hills, where God’s blessing rests eternally. It takes just one moment in this sacred place of life to receive true healing in our hearts. No matter the sense of loneliness and rejection, the hurts and emotional pains a man has suffered in this present dark world, the ever flowing torrents from the river of life proceeding from the heart of God upon the everlasting Hill is enough to bring about the desired healing. Man simply has to rediscover the eternal day of the Lord also symbolically known as a thousand years or the millennium; then He will once more sing with joy as in His childhood days when burdens were nowhere near Him.
MIGRATING FROM THE TENTS OF KADAR
After an inevitably horrible and turbulent experience in this world, a time comes when we begin ask ourselves questions as to how we can find true peace and purpose. Like the Psalmist wrote in the first song of degrees (meaning songs of ascension, elevation, journey to higher place) Psalms 120:1-7:- woe is me that dwells in Mesech (dim), among the tents of Kedar (ashy, dark colored); In His distress, He asks God for deliverance from enemies of peace, lying lips and a deceitful tongue because this characterized the inhabitants of Kedar where He sojourned. This is the same feeling that envelopes man as He begins to hunger and thirst for true inner peace and the joy of His youth. The dark tents of Kedar symbolically represent the veiled realm of the flesh that men of this present age walk in, where there is no knowledge of God; it is where you have the hates, rivalries, slanders, suspicions, guilt, bitterness, unbraided lusts and every evil you can think of.
We are beginning to discover that the present world is founded on darkness generated by flesh and blood (carnal mind),it is little wonder that there is no solution that men can invent that will bring about the perfection and beauty we seek. Never ever think that these characteristics of the flesh can be solved by trying to remodel the flesh because it won’t work. The flesh is flesh and it remains impotent and unprofitable; true solution is found as man ascends or in other words, migrates from the tents of Kedar (flesh) to the tents of Zion (Spirit), where the brethren dwell in unity, as one eternal entity in the name of the Lord and do stand in the place of eternal unlimited blessings [Psalms 24:1-6]. Psalms 120 to Psalms 134 all deal with this essential migration for all men who seek life, peace and eternal honor from the diabolical tents of humanity unto the tents of God upon mount Zion.
The solution to the problems of humanity is and will always be upon God’s holy hill; for this reason all men must look up to the mountains for their consolation lies therein. This is the place of the throne of the great king throughout eternity [Psalms 48:1-2], and He is in our midst to gather us once more upon His holy hill where we can once more know rich life in it’s fullness. For this reason He says: Where I am, there my servant will be [John 12:26]; in my Father’s house there are many mansions [abiding places, tents]. I come to receive you and gather you to the place of my dwelling, where I am eternally [John 14:1-3].
The earnest desire of the Spirit is that we are gathered out of the horrors of this present lower chaotic realm, where men continuously drown in the sea of perdition unto a broad place of stillness and joy. Never mind trying to repair anything in this present world, it just wouldn’t work. Discovering the solution means leaving all and following the Lord as He leads us through the narrow path unto the everlasting Hills; there we will find healing, riches and peace in a way the world cannot comprehend.
GOD’S WILL FOR EVERY MAN
Early one morning, as I lay in bed meditating, I had one of those rare crystal clear visions; I saw a little bird ascend vertically until it finally rested on a mountain peak. The spirit indicated to me that the bird represented the soul as it transcends the lower places of the earth where endless vanity and tribulation abound, to the everlasting hills of Zion where it can find true rest. The bird in the lower places of the earth represents the captive state of man in bondage to corruption. The Lord by His truth liberates the captive soul from the deceit and snare of the fowler, who deceived it and had it bound in chains to a corruptible system and nature far away, from its glory and liberty in God’s everlasting kingdom [Psalms 124:7, Psalms 91:3].
This represents the will of God for every single soul upon the face of the earth, because in so doing can we find salvation for our souls. While meditating on this,, my mind flashed back to the story of Lot, and the words of the two angels as they led Lot and His family out through the gates of Sodom and Gomorrah. Their words as they hastily led Lot and His family out were: “Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed”.
That voice, with which the angels (messengers) spoke, is the same voice of the Christ, which is also the same voice of the Father speaking through His Spirit to all inhabitants of the earth today, for that voice never changes it remains the same from generation to generation. This reminds us of the words of Jesus as He spoke of signs of the end.
Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
The end in this context refers to the end of that erroneous, independent and carnal human life we have lived, and new awakening to our true life in the Spirit which is the only life that there is, for besides Him (the Lord, the Spirit) there is no one else.
Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
The mortal identity of the dust cannot partake of the glory of the Lord, for I (the Lord) will not give my glory to another, or my praise unto graven images for MY glory and my praise is unto the name of the Lord says the eternal and Holy one.
Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Those however who do receive from above and ascend upon the holy peak of Zion, do stand on Holy ground which is the place of my eternal dwelling and do receive and partake of my glory, “for where I AM is where my servant will be” [John 12:26]. “For this purpose I have come, to gather you unto myself, that you may once more be partakers of true beauty and excellence “[John 17:22].
So we see that fleeing to the mountains is all about ascension, awakening and resurrection into the dimension of the Spirit which is allegorically represented by the mountain peaks of Zion where God’s life and presence is found. This is the eternal salvation that anyone who knows truth seeks after.
Throughout the ages, the call of the Spirit unto men who languish upon their beds in hell is “flee to the high mountains” or “come up hither” so that man can awaken to shouts of joy and unspeakable peace and pleasure. It is the same message the Spirit was trying to pass to us through the testimony of Noah, whose ship ended up upon the mountain peak, and through that of Lot who was given a passageway to the mountains into new life. The Spirit is the same yesterday, today and forever.Τhe spirit might communicate in different ways but its' sole purpose is to redeem and gather all men from the earth unto the High Spiritual peak of Zion where there is only one, the Lord Himself. This is the snap shot the Spirit shows us in Revelations 14:1-7; it shows a resurrected people who have been redeemed from the earth (terrestrial or mortal living), and have united in one with the eternal Spirit of God and do live solely on account of the living one; for the former earthly identity they wore in there humanity is no more.
LOT’S MESSAGE TO OUR GENERATION
Lot’s escape from the corrupt city of Sodom is one of the many ways the Spirit tries to reach out and communicate to men of an escape route out of the lower chaotic realms of death unto the exalted realms of life. The two angels acting as messengers of the Lord took Lot and His wife by the hand and led them out of the city while the day dawned, and instructed them to proceed to the mountains. This is the same pattern in which the Lord leads His elect out of the realm of outer darkness into the light. The angels did not appear from heaven to repair the city, but rather to bring an end to the abomination, and †o gather His chosen ones out of it, leading them unto a new beginning otherwise known as “new heavens; new earth”. This is God’s act of mercy for those who can discern what the Lord is saying in this hour.
This same gospel from heaven is to be preached from generation to generation revealing the way the truth and the life for all to hear and be saved therein. The very manner in which Lot escaped destruction is the same pattern which God will save those who can discern the truth and embrace the gospel with gratitude. As we read further, we will notice that grace was also extended to others during the time of Lot, but majority could not discern the love of God which beckoned on them to come up hither.Do not marvel when your dear ones do not see or hear that which you perceive in your heart, OBEY HIM!! And the rest will follow. I am saying this because in my personal experience, I went through many nights and suffered many unspeakable things because I felt alone and afraid as I stood in the revelation that the Father committed into my hand. I somehow tried to wait for others around me to get this revelation first, but it never functions that way, some will have to see the manifestation in you before they believe. If Lot had wasted time trying to convince His friends and His relatives He probably would not have made it Himself. If we obey Him, we will eventually save those who do not see what we see presently.
As we read on, we should be mindful that there is nothing like one last end time move that will gather God’s elect into the place of safety like many believe to this day, because prophesy as revealed by God’s Spirit and word is fulfilled over and over again. While this happens from generation to generation, only a hand full, whom Jesus referred to as the little flock will discern the voice of the true shepherd of their soul and they will enter into eternal safety, life and delights. In the same descreet manner Noah entered the ark unnoticed by the people of His time, and Lot escaped unnoticed by the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah,so from generation to generation as the Spirit awakens the saints and leads them into safety. Like the Prophet Isaiah confirms, while gross darkness (spiritual ignorance) covers the gentiles, the revelation light of life illumes the elect and the impeccable glory of God shall be manifested in them.
Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
Jesus likened His much speculated appearing or in other words the unveiling of the Son of God, to the days of Lot when people were carried away with the cares and pleasures of life while Lot representing the elect in this example, was ushered out of the City, followed by the brutal overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah with brimstone and fire.
Luke 17:28-30 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
This is a pointer to the unveiling of the incorruptible spiritual light seed of God in the elect, and the eventual judgment and annihilation of the realm of death and hell and its inhabitants, those who inhabit gross darkness. By now we know that all judgment of the ungodly is reserved for the day of His appearing [Act 17:31], because at His appearing every hay and stubble (flesh and blood) will have to dissolve at the convicting power of the impeccable glory of God, radiating from the Son of God as he is unveiled in those who follow the lamb in the ascension. This article will lightly touch on the manner of His appearing and how it relates to the consummation of the world in brimstone and Fire.
SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT AND WATCHFULNESS
Patience ,watchfulness and discernment are some of the requirements for those who will enter into life and safety and escape the dreaded judgment of the world as it unfolds from generation to generation. While the inhabitants of the city were engaged in diverse activities of the flesh, the lusts and the pride of life and all manner of ungodliness, a frustrated Lot was at the gate of the city longing for some form of deliverance from a people who knew no peace. It was while he was alone without the city in a gesture likened to a state of deep meditation that He met with the two angels (messengers) of God.
Genesis 19:1-3 19:1 Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. 2 And he said, "Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant's house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way." And they said, "No, but we will spend the night in the open square." 3 But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
One moment of distraction would have cost Lot this invaluable meeting with God’s messengers, but He discerned that the answer to His prayers rested with them. He was swift to receive the strangers and while bowing to them in an act of reverence and worship, He opened the doors of his House to entertain these messengers of God. Recognizing their immense greatness, Lot esteemed the messengers from God more than His own life, for this reason He offered to give His virgin daughters over to the inhabitants of Sodom instead of releasing the two messengers whom the inhabitants had demanded for, that they may have carnal knowledge with them. In those days the virginity of one’s daughter was a source of the fathers pride and joy, so in proposing this kind of thing it is clear that Lot held the messengers of God in high esteem; above himself and everything He stood for. This reminds us of the words of Jesus: “If any man loves His own life more than me, he is not worthy of me and He that receives Him that comes in my name will not lose His reward” [Matthew 10:37-42].
Genesis 19:4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: 5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. 6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. 8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
One may wonder, “How did Lot recognize these messengers, because from the look of things they did not appear with wings, neither did they have the name of the Lord written upon their foreheads”. Some hours earlier on, Abraham also recognized these same messengers, and served them with great reverence, but how were they able to recognize the Lord manifesting Himself as man? This is the mysterious manner in which people recognize the voice of the Spirit as it reaches out to men: Just think of it, how come some of the disciples immediately left all to follow Jesus from the moment He called them saying, “follow me”, they simply left all the moment they heard the words “follow me” [Mark 2:14, Matthew 4:19-20]. This is a Jesus they probably never had contact with yet they followed Him. It is the grace of God working through inner spiritual discernment that caused them to recognize the invisible and eternal God manifesting Himself as man. Deep inner communication and recognition between spirit and Spirit that words cannot express cause us to recognize the incorruptible word as we come across it. When you come in contact with His true word there is a witness in you that says, “this is it” and there is no way you can truly express what you see and know to another person. I have personally seen the Lord manifest in many ways, on various occasions, but these are things that you cannot just go out into the streets and declare openly, because people will get worried, thinking that you have probably gone nuts. I was once in a church and a gifted Prophet that I had never met before, told the audience that I have met the Lord several times and they should listen to me. The moment I started preaching, they felt I was speaking thrash. So you see no man can receive anything except it is given from above.
THE TWO WITNESSES
Lot had received and entertained strangers and in so doing earned grace unto salvation. Bear in mind that Lot would have perished along with the inhabitants of the City had he not received these messengers in by faith. This is in accordance with the words of Paul, which says do not forget to entertain strangers, because in so doing some have entertained angels unawares [Hebrews 13:2]. Does this mean that we should go out and just bring in people we do not know into our houses? Of course not, then what do these two messengers or strangers symbolically represent to us today who are of the faith? They represent the two faithful witnesses, which are the Word and the Spirit who only speak that which they hear from the heart of God. In other words they are messengers of the Lord transmitting the innermost thoughts of the living God unto men. They come into us and prepare the way for the manifestation of the Lord in us. It starts off as the voice of one crying in the wilderness of our hearts (the unfruitful human state) preparing the way for the coming of the Lord in us who will turn the wilderness state into a blossoming garden [Isaiah 40:3-5].
In the days of His ministry, John the Baptist took his place upon the earth as the true witness of God announcing the coming of Christ which evolved into the coming of the Lord; an embodiment of the incorruptible Word, and the Spirit. The baton was pasted over to the disciples who were called to be witnesses of the living one before the world. These ones have only one mandate, and that is to stand in the gap between humanity and God, and to witness of the truth, for they stand in the beginning of God’s creation which is Christ [Revelations 3:14], and declare the end of all things. The end of all things is simply a restoration of the way it was in the beginning, for in between, the lie reigned and man was subjected to vanity and death, but when the light shines revealing the beginning, man’s end becomes exactly the way it was in the beginning.
When Jesus sent out His disciples in two's ahead of Himself into the cities he was to enter (HE WAS TO APPEAR IN), to preach the gospel, He was revealing a spiritual trend that must occur again and again as He is revealed from heaven.
Luke 10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. ----------- 5 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. 6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. 7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. 8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: 9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
We must remember that these things are solely spiritually discerned, because the testimony of Jesus is prophetic. I say this because some people read these scriptures and think that God is sending them out on missions to countries or to cities in twos to knock on peoples doors and preach the gospel. If you do not listen attentively you might just end up realizing that your works were in vain. Jesus was simply revealing a trend that occurs spiritually at His coming as the Lord sends out His word of truth that unveils the mystery of Christ in those that receive it. Of course the two witnesses come wrapped up in flesh form as messengers of God, or directly as the Holy Spirit within you. These true witnesses from heaven prepare the way for the coming of the Lord and His kingdom within those who receive it, so that Christ the glory of God is unveiled in them for the whole world to see. This is the much anticipated coming of the Lord that we so often hear about; it occurs as the faithful recipient receives truth (the witness) from above and diligently continues in the truth as revealed to them from above.
DEEP SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
Lot received the two witnesses into His house and supped with them, with unleavened bread [Genesis 19:3], which is a symbol of the pure unadulterated word of the Lord or communion with the body of the Lord. For this reason, Jesus says do this in remembrance of me while He supped with his disciples in the secrecy of the upper room of the House in which they were in [Luke 22:19]. This is the communion of truth that must occur in every man that receives the witness of the spirit from above, for individually and corporately, we must have this fellowship with the Spirit of truth brought to life within us. This inner fellowship continues throughout all eternity and is fellowship which Jesus says the world cannot receive [John 14:16-17].
It is this inner communion that awakens man to his true spiritual identity and oneness with the living one; in whom dwells all power in heaven and on earth [John 14:18-21]. In the breaking of bread which is the word of truth from heaven, that the spiritual eyes of our understanding can be opened to see Christ. This is what the Spirit was trying to reveal to us when the eyes of the disciples were opened to see the resurrected Jesus while supping with them.
Luke 24:30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. Luke 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
In this present day we see Him in us, for in reality He dwells in us and we are Him and He is us. This mysterious revelation is the key into God’s kingdom and the escape from the pollution of this present world. One will ask, but how is this possible? Seeing our true light spiritual image and realizing it breaks the power of lust, and sin giving us victory over the powers of hell and death. The Spiritual man is not of this material world, neither does he have treasures laid up upon the earth, for this reason temptations and lusts that draw men into sin and perdition have no power over Him, as long as he keeps himself in the knowledge of His spiritual body, which is also the Lord’s body. If any word or fellowship you have is not edifying you in the knowledge of Christ your Spiritual image, know for sure it is not of God, for it is the realization of who you truly are in Christ that will save you, not something from without like men would like to believe.
For this reason HE says: “I, the true and faithful witness, the beginning of the creation of God, do knock on the door of your heart, if you open up and dine with me I will abolish your Spiritual poverty, your spiritual blindness and your shame and cause you to inherit true eternal glory, riches, invaluable spiritual awareness, and all power, for you will awaken in me and in that day you will know that we are one, and that one reigns supreme, for besides Him there is no other one.
Revelations 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; -----------18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Any man who receives this witness into His House (himself), will be totally healed; because He rediscovers His incorruptible and invisible attributes in the image of Him that created it (God).
CONSEQUENCES OF SPIRITUAL NEGLIGENCE
You will notice that apart from Lot, the inhabitants of the city of Sodom and Gomorrah were not able to discern the Lord when he entered their city, for spiritually speaking their eyes were heavy with sleep, and they were drunk with the wines of the lies, of their fornication and immorality. They surrounded the House of Lot and sought to dishonor the strangers who like we have established are a symbolic representation of the two witnesses or in other words, messengers from the Lord. They sought to dishonor the messengers of the living God, who stand for truth, revealing the invisible attributes of God before the world. So we can say they rejected the truth revealed from heaven and shut the door on their grace unto redemption.
When one rejects the truth, He simply shuts the door unto mercy and is given over to the lie; His eye of understanding is darkened and slides down an endless spiritual slope into a never ending reprobate state and will face great shame and wrath even as the beauty and glory of God is unveiled in the obedient ones who unite with the truth [Romans1:20-32]. The spirit demonstrates this when the angels struck the inhabitants of the city with blindness and caused them to grope in darkness, so that there was no escape route for them from the destruction that was to befall their city.
Genesis 19:9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. 11
And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
The men who were smitten with blindness are those who resist the truth exactly the same way Jannes and Jambres the Egyptian Magicians, withstood Moses and Aaron who also are a symbol of the two witnesses revealing the invisible attributes of the I am before Egypt (the world or flesh realm). Remember the plagues that overtook Egypt; all these represent the spiritual degradation and torment that manifests in those who reject the truth and cling to the lie. Jesus said "I judge no one but my words will judge you on the last day", because those who rebel are without excuse for that which was hidden has been revealed.
In the state of Spiritual blindness a man does not know where he is going, and He can in no way find escape from the powers of corruption, sin and death, that is why we ought to hold on to truth with all diligence, never letting it go even in the face of provocation and opposition from without. Remember that those who receive the mysteries of the kingdom and desire to live in Christ will definitely suffer persecution. Some will laugh at you and call you childish, some will think you have gone into apostasy, some will avoid fellowship with you, some will openly scold you in public places and call you all sorts of names from new age to false prophets, but if you know what lies ahead of them if they do not repent, you will have compassion upon them.
2Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
They do all these things because the truth from heaven overthrows all their highly esteemed religious and moral concepts upon which they have built in times past. The wisdom from above which the Spirit administers to the Saints, sounds like foolishness to the carnal, religious and mortal mind and snatches away their vain works upon the earth. Rather than humble themselves and ask God to heal them, they rebel against the truth and store up wrath for themselves in the day that He will be revealed. To some extent, most of us also wrestled against the will God in an attempt to hold on to something, only to realize later that it is for our benefit that we submit all to Christ. In all of this, blessed is He who is not offended at the living one for all things are His and His alone.
Luke 7:23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
THE DAWNING OF THE MORNING STAR
While communing with the witness in the inner compartment of our hearts in a secretive manner that the outer world is unaware of, there is a spiritual enlightenment and edification. This is very much like the secretive unseen evolution or transformation that we see in the metamorphosis of the butterfly. The soul that was once trapped in the thick darkness of a material consciousness becomes liberated by the word of truth, causing a new celestial creature to be formed within.
The Spirit was careful to note that while the day dawned, Lot was led by the hand out of Sodom and instructed to proceed to the Mountains, and when the Sun reached its full strength, the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were violently overthrown. This is not recorded for nothing, there is spiritual truth in all of this.
Genesis 19:15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. 16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. 17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
Gen 19:23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
Gen 19:24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; Gen 19:25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. Gen 19:26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
This trend is spiritually true for those who continue in the revelation of Christ from heaven, because the Spirit liberates the soul and leads the soul upward from lower parts of the earth, in what is termed the ascension or the resurrection from the dead. The earth is the realm of the dust, where the inhabitants of this world pine away in the transgression of Adam. This is the realm that all men descended into in the transgression of Adam, so you see, He is here to raise us up and restore us back to the place we fell from [Revelations 2:5]. If you understand the words of Jesus, he did not come to bring peace to the earth (the carnal realm), but rather to put an end to it [Matthew 10:34]. For what shall it profit a man to gain this world and lose His soul? If you can hear the voice of the Spirit, It is saying you inhabitants of the earth below, repent, and return to your first estate in Christ [Revelations 14:6].
The morning star which is literally the Sun, dawns in the hearts of those who have obeyed the gospel, and let go of all in order to rediscover themselves in Christ. The man from heaven who is the Lord Himself emerges, for in the resurrection there is only one man, the Lord Himself, for besides Him there is no other. The morning star, represents the immaculate glorious light image of the Lord (Christ) as seen in the symbolic manifestation of the Alpha and the Omega both in the transfiguration of Jesus and in the revelation the Apostle John had on the island of Patmos [Revelations 1:16, Matthew 17:1-2].
For this reason He says if you hear my words and continue patiently with me in the regeneration, I will glorify you with the morning Star which I myself am.
Revelations 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star.
Revelations 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
This is what the Spirit is trying to demonstrate to us as the Sun reached its full strength followed by the violent overthrow of every thing that was on the ground of Sodom and Gomorrah. The sun (Christ in Us) which like we have established is the morning star, reaches it’s full strength in us when every trace of carnality or mortality in us is dissolved. This is the awakened spiritual consciousness that stands in the place of the I AM (Christ), for no mortal knows the way thereof [1Timothy 6:16]. The is the much anticipated appearing of the son of man from heaven with great glory and power like never seen, nor ever would be seen, for it is God manifest in the flesh for all eyes to see.
THE JUDGEMENT OF THE WORLD
The judgement of the world and the ungodly occurs as they stand before the impeccable presence of the Lord from heaven, for the inhabitants of the earth will behold the Lord on His eternal judgement seat through His resurrected sons who are also likened to angels or messengers of God. For this reason the Spirit warns that all men of the coming indignation and wrath upon the souls of all men who rebel against the truth as the Lord is revealed from heaven [Romans 2:8-11]. Even Jesus warned as He sent out his seventy disciples in twos to preach the gospel (the two witnesses), saying woe unto those who reject their testimony for they will experience judgement similar judgements of Sodom, but to a much greater extent, because in this case it is eternal Judgement [Luke 10:10-16]. Sodom and Gomorrah was physically overthrown and the destruction was momentarily consuming their flesh only. However the judgement of the world through the appearing of the Son of God is purely spiritually discerned and its unseen flame burns and torments the souls of the ungodly eternally as long as they cling on to the lie.
The fiery destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah with brimstone and fire is an allegorical view of the much talked about lake of fire burning with brimstone mentioned in the book of revelations.
Let us examine some verses that speak of the eternal judgement with fire and brimstone:
Revelations 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
Those who worship and receive the mark of the beast (present-continuous) in revelations 14:9, are those who continue in the lie of their mortal existence. The mark of the beast is simply the mark of carnality that causes man to live after the spirit of mortal man otherwise known as the spirit of this material age or the depths of Satan. It is all about a continuous conforming to the image of the mortal man, which as we know is the root cause of death.By so doing, they exchange the glory of the incorruptible and immortal God (Christ within) into that of mortal man and of beasts [Romans 1: 22-23]. On the other hand, those who receive the true witness from heaven, do reverse this abominable trend of the descended Adam as they follow Christ in the regeneration. Following Christ in the regeneration is all about conforming once again with the celestial image of Christ, this occurs as you first receive the witnesses from heaven. So you see the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah in reality fall under the category of those who continue receiving the mark of the beast the way of Adam, by holding unto the illusion of their mortal lives.
In understanding the Judgement of God, we must first of all understand that God is love, and in reality does not seek to hurt any man; He simply cannot hurt a fly. He is not aware of sinners, but rather He looks upon the creation with love, because He sees only the son in it. The carnal mind that is annihilated from the reality of what God is, can never understand this, rather it accepts Moses’ testimony of a dreadful God because it is veiled. Just imagine standing before an innocent white lamb, how can that innocent lamb torment anyone? The torment and exceedingly great conviction of sin before the lamb and the angels of God (the resurrected sons of God), occurs when the carnal unregenerated man stands before the impeccable loving presence and power of God radiating from the saints and is unable to attain to it. Once any man beholds that infinite love, the omnipotent power and faith, the patience, the longsuffering, the unspeakable joy, peace and security and every good fruit manifested through His redeemed saints, there is no way that experience can ever leave Him, it remains in the inner subconscious part of the person and will haunt Him in many strange ways as long as he remains rebellious.
The torment is an unseen unquenchable fire that is ignited within the unbeliever as he comes in contact with the presence of Christ and the truth, which is why it is referred to as the cup of His undiluted indignation; the cup being a symbolic expression of the vessel or person. The incorruptible word made flesh and the unveiling of the invisible attributes of God, causes a spiritual reaction within every vessel that it comes in contact with, igniting an unquenchable flame that gradually consumes everything that stands in its way, no matter how long it takes, it will accomplish its purpose. So you see even though seemingly tormenting and to be greatly dreaded, it is beneficial on the long run, because it actually burns away every stumble and hay (mortality) lodged in the minds of men. This is like the gathering of the corn (the good seed-spirit) and the burning of the tares (flesh and blood), for every trace of carnality and it’s emotional attachments to this outer material age must be consumed for a man to enter into eternal life [Matthew 13:38-42].
So you see, it is the saints who awaken in Christ, that judge the world and convict all the ungodly of sin, for it has pleased the Lord to commit the consumption of the realm of hell and death unto His Saints [1Corinthians 6:2].
Psalms 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
As the Spirit (Christ) evades the realm of hell and death through His messengers, the principalities and powers that govern that realm (the kings, men) and all the heathen which represent the inhabitants thereof are spiritually bound and cast into the lake of fire burning with brimstone and fire. The resurrected saints whose names are written in the book of life which literally means to be awoken in Christ, do form the famous lake of fire, bringing an end to the realm of death and it’s inhabitants who are not found in Christ [Revelations 20:14-15]. These are unseen spiritual events which are progressive throughout all eternity, and cannot be perceived by the natural minds of men. So never believe them when they say something will happen tomorrow, according to outward signs, because the judgement is present and His appearing is also a present reality.
Let there be continuity in the truth, not like the wife of Lot who transgressed by looking back into this dark entity called the world. She represents the soul that receives the revelation of Christ and does not continue in it. She turned into a pillar of salt to show the deadness of the later state of those who transgress by going back to the lie, after knowing the pathways unto life.
2Peter 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
We ought to remind ourselves as often as possible of the great promises the Lord has reserved for those who seek Him diligently with all their hearts. You will agree with me that keeping ourselves in the revelation is where the battles lies, but God is gracious and able to bring us to an expected end which is of peace.
For those who ascend and discover Christ, old things are passed away and behold all things are made new. A whole new Spiritual kingdom comes into view, where we experientially ascend on the throne of the Father and become co-creators of a new heaven and new earth. In this new creation the myth called death is unheard off; neither is their sorrow and tribulation, because we awaken to the reality that all things are ours for our enjoyment [Revelations 21]. True life is found upon the Spiritual peak of God’s creation, where God’s and all who attain this place have access to the unlimited spiritual blessings of God.
The Spirit says- flee to the high mountain, for therein rests your consolations throughout all eternity. Let us follow the lamb as he leads us through pathways we never know, streams we never saw for He will take us to that blessed dream.
