Poem written by Jane Taylor in 1806.
This is a very popular poem known all over the world and used mostly by Children. The person who wrote this poem over 200 years back saw it all in the natural light, not knowing she was speaking of greater things that were and to come concerning Gods eternal plans for his saints. Jane Taylor is no longer in an earthly tabernacle by virtue of Her passing on to the other side, but the poem is Known in every corner of the world today because of the message behind the letters of the poem.
Seekers of God who seek glory and peace should learn to lay aside intelligence which comes from their natural understanding, and begin to view things in the light of God's wisdom. In His light we begin to see light and life.
The let us browse through another similar writing by David in Psalm 19:1-4
PSALM -- 19: 1-4 . It reads THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD; AND THE FIRMAMENT SHOWS HIS HANDIWORK DAY UNTO DAY UTTERS SPEECH, AND NIGHT UNTO NIGHT REVEALS KNOWLEDGE. THERE IS NO SPEECH NOR LANGUAGE WHERE THEIR VOICE IS NOT HEARD. THEIR LINE HAS GONE OUT THROUGH ALL THE EARTH AND THEIR WORDS TO THE END OF THE WORLD.
David wrote this poem seeing it all only in the natural light, because the blessings or grace that has been given to the church was not available to the Old Testament characters. In reality the likes of king David and co., were ministering to we who are partakers of this great salvation of God and heirs of His glory. This is confirmed in 1Peter 1:10-12
1PETER 1: 10-12 OF THIS SALVATION THE PROPHETS HAVE INQUIRED AND SEARCHED CAREFULLY WHO PROPHESIED OF THE GRACE THAT WOULD COME TO YOU SEARCHING WHAT, OR WHAT MANNER OF TIME, THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST WHO WAS IN THEM WAS INDICATING WHEN HE TESTIFIED BEFOREHAND THE SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST AND THE GLORIES THAT WOULD FOLLOW. TO THEM IT WAS REVEALED THAT, NOT TO THEMSELVES, BUT TO US THEY WERE MINISTERING THE THINGS WHICH NOW HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO YOU THROUGH THOSE WHO HAVE PREACHED THE GOSPEL TO YOU BY THE HOLY SPIRIT SENT FROM HEAVEN- THINGS WHICH ANGELS DESIRE TO LOOK INTO.
Our father God has given us his spirit so that we can know him and know what we freely have in Him [1corinthians 2:12]. The devil will continue to cheat and plunder the saints if they are ignorant of the things freely given to them by the Father. If you do not have a revelation of Christ in you the only hope of glory, how can you confess that Christ has come in the flesh (your flesh); how can you manifest Christ and His glory to the world? God has come through Christ to give us understanding that we may have that victory we have cried out for all this years, He does this by revealing to us the hidden things of darkness (ignorance).
Today, God is revealing to us that we are the very stars of Heaven and of God and the time has come to twinkle and glow with the manifold wisdom of God in this dark and perverse generation. That is to declare his marvelous glory among the nations (the world). He reveals the time has come to repossess our place in heavenly places so that we may be like jewels in his Hands in this last days. (I say last days in reference to the days of ignorance, because light is shinning to dispel the darkness that has constituted this present world, and the perfect eternal day of the Lord is coming into view.)
PSALM 98:5 - THE HEAVENS WILL PRAISE YOUR WONDERS O LORD AND YOUR FAITHFULNESS IN THE ASSEMBLY OF THE SAINTS.
PSALM 148:3 -PRAISE HIM SUN AND MOON ALL YOU STARS OF LIGHT.
DANIEL 12: 3 - THOSE WHO ARE WISE SHALL SHINE LIKE THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE FIRMAMENT, AND THOSE WHO TURN MANY TO RIGHTEOUSNESS LIKE THE STARS FOREVER AND EVER.
Jude refers to disobedient children as wandering stars. (JUDE 13)
We should at times wonder what made the psalmists go into such abstract talk about the stars praising the lord. The psalmist was a man after God’s heart who loved the Lord with so much intensity that he always had the urge to write songs, poems and love letters to the Lord, he always saw the lord in every beautiful thing he laid eyes on. When I think of this intense love towards God, I often ask that God heal me, so that I can love him more and more till I am swallowed up by this Love. This also goes to show how the psalmist took time out of his busy schedule to be with the Lord and to meditate on his goodness, being the leader of Israel he found it more interesting to be with the Lord and behold heavenly things that revealed God than to involve himself in the many other activities on the earth. When I think of this I ask God to hide my face from vain things and open by eyes to his beauty and truth.
David the psalmist looked at the stars and could tell after years of meditation and amazement towards this stars that they were speaking. He must have observed their beauty, their height, their twinkling, their unfailing light, their everlasting presence, the calm and the sound of silence. David must have looked up hoping to find God, hoping to understand more about his presence and dwelling place and figured out the stars in their heights had something to do with God because they were among the few objects seen high up in the physical sky.
Then he began to write concerning the heavens and the heavenly bodies like the sun, the stars, the moon and the clouds; the Lord in his manifold wisdom has more things to show us concerning the heavens and the stars therein.
The HEAVENS , KINGDOM OF HEAVEN OR HEAVENLY REALM prophetically speaking are the same thing; it is the highly exalted realm in the spirit where God dwells. I say highly exalted realm because, God cannot be located high up in the physical sky, no matter how many light years away, He simply doesn't live in a physical plane because He is spirit. God's highly exalted realm is above all and rules over all, this is the place where Jesus ascended into and has prepared for we who call upon His name in truth. In this realm, we are exalted above all principalities and powers including death which in reality is last and final enemy of God to be abolished. It is the place God is bringing his Church to in this hour by sending forth his spirit of revelation (understanding) to redeem us out of the miry clay of our human existence and catapult us back to the pinnacle of Zion, where we can once more twinkle and declare the beauty and the holiness of the Lord before the whole world. The church exists for this very purpose: to show forth the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light (knowledge of him). (1-PETER 2: 9).
It is as we attain to this spiritually exalted realm in God that the kingdom comes in us, so that we can really twinkle in perfection; it is then perfect love reigns in our heart; it is then every shadow of darkness, fear, sickness, weakness, death e.t.c. lose dominion over us; It is then we can sing O DEATH WHERE IS THY STING. ISAIAH 25: 8 - HE WILL SWALLOW UP DEATH FOREVER AND THE LORD WILL WIPE AWAY ALL TEARS FROM FACES; THE REBUKE OF HIS PEOPLE HE WILL TAKE AWAY FROM ALL THE EARTH FOR THE LORD HAS SPOKEN.
HOSEA 13: 14 - I WILL RANSOM THEM FROM THE POWER OF THE GRAVE; I WILL REDEEM THEM FROM DEATH. O DEATH, I WILL BE YOUR PLAGUES. O GRAVE I WILL BE YOUR DESTRUCTION. PITY IS HIDDEN FROM MY EYES.
Let us study the physical stars in the physical heaven, because the great thoughts of God are being understood by the things we see in the physical realm. God has given his church His spirit that the church should not walk ignorantly but in full knowledge and understanding of his will and his kingdom.
ROMANS 1:20—FOR SINCE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD HIS INVISIBLE ATTRIBUTES ARE CLEARLY SEEN BEING UNDERSTOOD BY THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE, EVEN HIS ETERNAL POWER AND GODHEAD, SO THAT WE ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE.
1 CORINTHIANS 2: 9-14—EYE HAS NOT SEEN NOR EARS HEARD NOR HAVE ENTERED INTO THE HEART OF MAN THE THINGS WHICH GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM. BUT GOD HAS REVEALED THEM TO US THROUGH HIS SPIRIT, FOR THE SPIRIT SEARCHES ALL THINGS, YES EVEN THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD.
Every single atom created on the face of the earth has a significance in God's mind, but the natural man can't understand this. We must learn to occupy ourselves by the spirit of God with the things that pertain to God when observing the natural realm. When man observes things carnally, not applying the knowledge of God into them, it breeds lust and corruption in the hearts of me. "Always bear this in mind". Brethren, we have to transform our lives by allowing the mind of God take over our own minds, it is then we can say we are truly born again of water and spirit, and experience true liberation from the power of corruption and death that has this world in it's grip.
As you yield your mind to the spirit, never expect people around you to understand you or even agree with you. Don’t mind the criticism from the world or even your very brethren, we know they speak of the things they know, things which are after the wisdom of man. That is why Nicodemus, a big teacher of Israel could not even understand Jesus when He spoke. Jesus being amazed at the ignorance of the exalted teacher among the Jews answered and said the following:
JOHN 3: 12 - IF I HAVE TOLD YOU EARTHLY THINGS AND YOU BELIEVE NOT, HOW WILL YOU BELIEVE IF I TELL YOU HEAVENLY THINGS.
Brethren as the Lord begins to illuminate our inner consciousness with truth in this last days, we must be open to thankfully receive His counsel so that this golden opportunity doesn’t pass us by. Our spiritual antennas have to be tuned day and night to hear the silent voice of truth as it comes from His throne of grace
Observing the physical creation closely and focusing on the stars, we take note of the following points.
(a). The stars are the source of light, physical life and energy on earth. (NOTE: THE SUN OR (MORNING STAR) IS ALSO A STAR BUT IT LOOKS BIGGER THAN THE OTHERS BECAUSE IT IS THE NEARER TO PLANET EARTH THAN THE OTHER STARS).
(b). The stars are high up in the heavens far above all things seen
(c). The stars are ever constant in the skies (everlasting).
THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
In reference to (a) it says the stars are the source of light in the physical world in turn the source of energy and physical life.
Scientists have proven beyond doubt that the light from the solar system or skies accounts for all forms of energy in the physical realm. Somebody might ask how is this possible, the reply is very simple, energy forms are interchangeable, that is to say there is a constant interchanging of energy forms that keeps this world going. A very simple example is illustrated by change of light energy from the solar system to heat energy which is then transformed to mechanical energy; we see this in many solar powered engines or plants for electric generation and motion. Another example is seen in the generation of fuel products by the impact of heat and pressure on decay of remains of biological objects like fossils, dead animals and plants. High Great energy levels are stored in this fuel forms, (e.g. coal and petroleum products) which are fundamental for daily use by men in all spheres of life. This energy stored in petroleum products are converted to various other energy forms for the use of man kind, examples are seen in use of cars, planes, electric generating plants, industrial plants etc.
Light from the solar system is also vital for the existence of life on the physical realm in other words without light from the skies there would be no people and no animals or even plants. Let us study the things needed for the existence of natural man, animals and plants. Human beings and animals survive principally on oxygen, water and food (meats and herbs) while plants depend and survive mainly on water and light. Let us now examine how light from the solar system affects all this.
Light from the solar system is essential for the generation of oxygen and starch through a process called photosynthesis, we must have learnt of this during our school days. Unknown to many, the major source of oxygen is actually from algae, which litter the whole world particularly large water masses like seas and oceans. Algae and plants are known for their use of carbon dioxide in the presence of light and water to produce oxygen and carbohydrates like starch, grains and sugar. Here we see light being the source of oxygen and carbohydrates generation, things necessary for the survival of man. Without light man will be without oxygen and food, there would be no carbohydrates in the form of starch, grains and sugar, and their will be no meat because animals would not exist due to their lack of the same oxygen, vegetation, grains and other elements they depend on; it would mean a total annihilation of mankind, God forbid!
One other essential thing for the survival of mankind is water, we know water is very important for mankind; we see the devastating effect of drought (acute scarcity of water). Drought, which is likened to a curse of God, causes hardship, malnutrition and death of man, animals and plants. Other uses of water are seen in cleaning processes without which there would be out breaks of diverse diseases, production of drugs, chemicals, cooking, farming, use in hydraulic powered plants and many other processes. A few years back we saw the effect of a slight drought in the United States of America where all the sophisticated technology could not save the farmers and their economy from the devastating effect; this shows mans continued dependence on nature's gifts no matter how far we go technologically. We see how deserts are uninhabited and void due to lack of rainfall and water. Israel of old was considered blessed because it was like a well watered garden in the midst of harsh desert lands that surrounded it.
Now how do we relate this water thing to light and energy from the solar bodies (sun, stars and other light generating bodies)? We know that natural evaporation accounts for much of the clouds we see, this form of evaporation energizes water masses like seas, rivers, ponds, reservoirs and many other forms causing vapor to rise and form masses in the skies. These masses in the skies called clouds break up eventually to give rain to the world. Without the energy generated by light and solar energy there would be no rain and therefore a depletion of all water deposits, leading to annihilation of all mankind. The diagram below from the USGS, illustrates the water cycle fundamental for the continuity of all forms of life.
We do not really need modern day scientists to understand this important water cycle, even king Solomon spoke about this cycle while He was still around.
We should also note that oxygen generated through the photosynthesis process combines with another gas common in the atmosphere called hydrogen to generate water either in gas form or in liquid form. This process occurs when in favorable conditions two molecules of hydrogen combine with a molecule of oxygen to produce a molecule of water, when this is done in large quantities we see the formation of water either in vapor form or in liquid form.
Brethren there are many other deeper things relating to this topic and I say we should continue to search and the Lord will reveal them to us, in doing this the Lord is glorified.
Ecclesiates 1:5 The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose. 6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits. 7 All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
The light we have spoken of so far is the physical natural light whose limit is for serving the needs of this world and the flesh which are all temporal. God has given us this revelation to understand what the true light really does, and thus the importance of His sending his son Christ to the world as the true light of the world. We can see here that the world needs to occupy themselves with this true light which is truth revealed from the heart of the Father. When we do this, we get refreshing in form of true spiritual rain and food unto eternal life. The Word likens the world to people dead in their sins and trespasses, but thank God, entrance of his knowledge (light) gives us life that we no longer walk in darkness, spiritual famine, drought, distress and death.
JOHN 8: 12- THEN JESUS SPOKE TO THEM SAYING I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. HE WHO FOLLOWS ME SHALL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS BUT SHALL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE.
There are many other scriptures to back this, scriptures which say the light gives life to all that accept the testimonies of Jesus.( Note that He gives life here on earth , meaning we don’t have to go to another place to get this eternal life). Even as Jesus Christ in the days of his ministry was light of the world his body the church has been given this same ministry because we are meant to live on account of him.
LET US READ THE FOLLOWING SCRIPTURES THAT SUPPORT THE FACT THAT WE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
JOHN 6: 57 - AS THE LIVING FATHER HAS SENT ME, AND I LIVE BECAUSE OF THE FATHER, SO HE WHO FEEDS ON ME WILL LIVE ON ACCOUNT OF ME.
JOHN 12: 36 - WHILE YOU HAVE THE LIGHT BELIEVE IN THE LIGHT, THAT YOU MAY BE SONS OF LIGHT.
EPHESIANS 5: 8 - FOR YOU WERE ONCE DARKNESS, BUT NOW YOU ARE LIGHT IN THE LORD.
PHILIPIANS 2: 15 - THAT YOU MAY BECOME BLAMELESS AND HARMLESS, CHILDREN OF LIGHT WITHOUT FAULT IN THE MIDST OF A CROOKED AND PERVERSE GENERATION, AMONG WHOM YOU SHINE AS LIGHTS IN THE WORLD.
It is clear from these scriptures that we who have accepted the testimony of the Lord and true walk in the truth have become the lights of the world, giving light to the whole world. We are the ones to turn the peoples of this world to God and declare his marvelous wonders. like Daniel wrote through revelation he received---
THOSE WHO ARE WISE SHALL SHINE LIKE THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE FIRMAMENT AND THOSE WHO TURN MANY TO RIGHTEOUSNESS LIKE THE STARS FOREVER.
We are the stars of God, the ones the Lord has made and will continue to make wise because by his grace we have kept the testimony of the Lord Jesus and we have conformed ourselves to the truth. Those who accept our testimonies receives life, for this very purpose we were predestined from the foundation of the world. Let us not therefore hesitate to twinkle and manifest his word whom we have become to the world. TWINKLE, TWINKLE LITTLE STARS.
KINGS OF GOD'S CREATION
Point (b) of our description of the physical stars states that the stars are high up in the heavens far above all things seen on the face of the earth. If we are the stars of God how does this refer to us? God in his wisdom is referring to kingly power and authority which he has given to his stars (The Church).
Let us look through certain scriptures.
MATTHEW 5: 34 – BUT I SAY TO YOU DO NOT SWEAR AT ALL; NEITHER BY HEAVEN, FOR IT IS THE THRONE OF GOD.
REVELATION 3: 21—TO HIM THAT OVER COMES I WILL GRANT TO SIT WITH ME ON MY THRONE , AS I ALSO OVERCAME AND SAT DOWN WITH MY FATHER ON HIS THRONE.
JOHN 3: 31 – HE WHO COMES FROM ABOVE IS ABOVE ALL; HE WHO IS IN THE EARTH IS EARTHLY AND SPEAKS OF THE EARTH. HE WHO COMES FROM HEAVEN IS ABOVE ALL.
EPHESIANS 1: 3 – BLESSED BE THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO HAS BLESSED US WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST
When we look in the natural we notice that thrones are normally set high above other seats in an assembly, this is equally true in traditional churches settings in this world where the pulpit the seat of pastors is normally higher than the rest of the congregation’s. The physical heavens are much higher than the earth illustrating Gods throne and dominion over the world. In REVELATIONS 3:21, God has promised this throne to us who obey the gospel through Jesus Christ our Lord. The writings of Paul also say we are seated in heavenly places in Christ far above all principalities and powers. God shows his generosity to man when he gives his throne to us to share with him, a thing that man will never do for fellow man. Read this,
JOB 36:7 – HE DOES NOT WITHDRAW HIS EYES FROM THE RIGHTEOUS; BUT THEY ARE SET ON THE THRONE WITH KINGS FOR HE HAS SEATED THEM FOREVER.
We have all the power in heaven and earth bestowed on us as long as we remain obedient in conforming ourselves to the truth (Christ): God gives us power over every faculty within us and causes us to rule over the powers and agents of death. The original design for God in our lives is dominion the same way He dominates, everything that He is and has is our inheritance as sons of the living God.
JOHN 17:22 - AND THE GLORY WHICH YOU GAVE ME I HAVE GIVEN THEM, THAT THEY MAY BE ONE JUST AS WE ARE ONE.
God is not a man who withholds things from His sons, He gives His very glory by which He formed the heavens and the earth to His sons, so that they reign with Him eternally. PRAISE THE LORD ALL THIS IS OURS AS SOON AS WE COME TO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS FACT. We as stars rule and will judge the universe for it has pleased the Lord to make it so.
ETERNAL LIFE
Another thing we observed about the physical stars was the fact they always in the skies throughout all generations which speaks of eternal life or immortality.
I TIMOTHY 1: 17 – NOW TO THE KING ETERNAL, IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, TO GOD WHO ALONE IS WISE, BE HONOUR AND GLORY FOREVER AND EVER,
I TIMOTHY 6: 15-16 – WHICH HE WILL MANIFEST IN HIS OWN TIME, HE WHO IS THE BLESSED AND ONLY POTETATE, THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. WHO ALONE HAS IMMORTALITY, DWELLING IN UNAPPROACHABLE LIGHT, WHOM NO MAN HAS SEEN OR CAN SEE, TO WHOM BE HONOUR AND EVERLASTING POWER.
Eternal life is the greatest promises of God to his saints, in as much death and destruction has reigned up till now in this fallen creation through Adam, God has decreed that through faith, that in his beloved son we pass from death to life. Death is the ultimate wage of sins, while life is the ultimate wage of righteousness in Christ Jesus our Lord. The Lord has promised us an everlasting throne, an everlasting kingdom, everlasting victory, everlasting power and finally everlasting life to as many as believe him.
1 JOHN 2:25—THIS IS THE PROMISE HE HAS PROMISED US – ETERNAL LIFE.
Eternal life is to know God and to continue in the knowledge of Him because He is that eternal one and besides Him there is no other. Heaven and earth will pass away the nations will wax old and die, they will be changed like a garment, but those who do the will of God abide forever, unmoved and untouched by the wasting that ravages those who unite with vanity.
That man of God who knows God is already present on the inside of all men, but men must awake in their inner consciousness to recognize their through eternal identities buried and unmoved in the living God. Before now men have been sleeping in the dust of their human existence and in that lowered state they have beheld and adored vanities. As men how sleep the Adam sleep hear the voice of truth from the Father's presence they awake into their true form and glow once more in the heavens before men.
This is a promise of God repeated all over the scriptures but it is important we search the scriptures day and night; the Lord is faithful to reveal this things to us, for the scripture says nothing hidden that shall not be revealed. This process of revealing the hidden things of darkness is what will usher in the new era of perfection we have been crying for.
DECLARING THE GLORY OF GOD
PSALM -- 19: 1-4 . THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD; AND THE FIRMAMENT SHOWS HIS HANDIWORK DAY UNTO DAY UTTERS SPEECH, AND NIGHT UNTO NIGHT REVEALS KNOWLEDGE. THERE IS NO SPEECH NOR LANGUAGE WHERE THEIR VOICE IS NOT HEARD. THEIR LINE HAS GONE OUT THROUGH ALL THE EARTH AND THEIR WORDS TO THE END OF THE WORLD.
The stars of God being the Sons of God do nothing but declare the glory of God from Generation to generation. These are a people who have tasted of His goodness, this are the ones who have joined themselves in love to the creator of the heavens and earth, they have no choice but to declare "taste of the Lord and see that He is good".
1 Peter 2:9-10
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Psalm 84:4
4 Blessed are those who dwell in Your house;
They will still be praising You.Praise Him stars of God, declare His praise among the peoples, show them His marvelous works in light, brake the yoke of the oppressed, cause the orphans to rejoice in the Lord. Arise Oh stars of God, Arise ! Arise ! Arise !
Brethren let us come to the true understanding of who we are, knowing the hope of our calling in Christ Jesus our Lord. When this is done, the whole world will marvel and say TWINKLE, TWINKLE LITTLE STARS HOW I WONDER WHAT YOU ARE, UP ABOVE THE WORLD SO HIGH, LIKE A DIAMOND IN THE SKY.
