A WORD ON THE FIRST RESURRECTION
Jesus spoke as that one celestial man of God from heaven as he declared “I am the Resurrection and the Life”. From this, we can clearly see that the resurrection is more about a state of being not some anticipated external event like the world thinks. This is the measure of the fullness of Christ that man must attain to live and reign in the glory of God. It represents pure spiritual consciousness which is perfect and blameless in all its ramifications. How can a man attain to this blessed state of being which is God’s?
As the word resurrection or awakening implies, it is about exiting the deep mortal human unconscious state into the state of the Spirit. While in the sleep state, man gropes abject darkness and lives in an illusionary world..he sows and reaps the wind. In Revelations 20:4-6, we see a company of those who come out of the unconscious sleep state and enter in to reign in what is called, “The First Resurrection”.
The Spirit describes the caliber of people worthy for this high calling..those who are beheaded for the witness of Jesus. Beheaded voluntarily to witness for Jesus means these ones have substituted their own human head with that of the head of Jesus, the celestial man. The human head is the one with the imprints of the beast (flesh and blood) which can in no way see life because it is not of God.
The earlier man realizes for himself that his only problem is his carnally controlled senses, the better for him. The price to pay is a simple acceptance that the life you live is that of Christ the man from heaven. You where the one who died on the cross, the human head is gone and right now I am guided by the spiritual head.
Substituting the carnal human mind for the spiritual mind of Christ, we automatically pass over from being false witness to true witnesses of Jesus the man from heaven. This leads man through the gateway of life where all sighing and pain is no more. The first Resurrection is today, as we walk in newness of life, in Christ Jesus.
